Overview
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my training and license allow me to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, families, couples and individual adults. That is a wide variety of people. Even so, there is a kind of "common denominator" about the way that I work, and the way that I am.
I create a safe, grounded container and a vast sense of friendliness and acceptance. There is room for all of your mistakes, worries, past trauma and pain. In my view, the reasons you seek therapy: the anxiety, the powerful inner critic, the lack of "spark", the childhood trauma that doesn't go away, the pain of difficult relationships, etc., point us directly to the exact thing that will, when transformed, allow you to fulfill your desires. I am intuitively drawn toward the parts of people that need healing. I can usually point out what is needed to make the shifts, to release, to forgive. Then we team up and do the work.
If I had to name a speciality, it would have to be the child...meaning both actual children and the "inner children" within adults. I am absolutely passionate about helping clients reclaim their inner spark, truth, creativity, gifts and worth: their Inner Child. I have been leading Inner Child Healing retreats since 2019, and it is my highest passion.
Another unique aspect of my work is that I have been trained in energy healing (Syntara System) and I utilize this in my psychotherapy sessions. The combination of Inner Child work and/or play therapy and energy healing can be very powerful.
The following are some of the symptoms/disorders/experiences with which I have helped clients:
